Upper school (lycee) begins in the 10th grade and continues through to the12th or final year (Terminale).
The 10th grade is a guidance year in which the student chooses his/her specialization for their final two years at the school:
- Literature and Languages (serie L)
- Economics and Social Sciences (serie ES)
- Mathematics and Sciences (serie S)
Students graduate with a Baccalaureate degree (L, ES, or S).
Distance teaching program
Lycee students are registered with the CNED (French Distance Teaching Institute) in Rennes. They receive the CNED correspondence modules and attend lessons for their principal subjects. Most of the work is completed with teacher supervision at the school. There are 8 examinations for each subject which must be completed in the required time. At the end of the school year, the CNED passes or fails the students.
Examinations
At the end of both the 11th and 12th grades, students must sit the Baccalaureate examinations in Athens, Greece. The results of the Arthur Rimbaud French School are excellent! Only one student has failed in 15 years.
